Leaf  New Look - Special Edition - Testing

Welcome to the (once again) newly-updated version of chi Living Foods News. It's sure not easy trying to please thousands of readers. People have different screen sizes, different resolutions, different email programs, different countries, different, different... It's a lot easier to write a webpage than it is a newsletter!

So... Fourth try is the charm, right? Now we're narrower, with fewer embedded tables and less programming code. Lean and mean (I hope).

Once I get this part right I'll address the issues that those people receiving the newsletter by cellphone are having. (Whew! Maybe I should have left well enough alone!)

How does this work for you? Please let me know: editor@chiDiet.com. Anything you can tell me, like you use a Mac, or Eudora, or Outlook Express, will help me get this right.

I really appreciate all of the input you've sent me, and especially the hundreds of compliments. That's what keeps me going...

Oh... The list of previous articles, organized by category, that was so popular in the last few issues is now near the end of the newsletter (click here). When you click on a subject it'll open your browser and take you to the pages.

Leaf  Organic is Tastier

In any controversy it can be helpful to consider the views of disinterested parties. So, on the subject of agricultural policy and practice, it's worth noting that an unimpeachably neutral group has joined the ranks of those who prefer organic foods over foods produced with the help of synthetic chemicals.

That group is 40 Swiss rats... the rats were better at telling the difference between organic and conventional foods than many humans have been... Organic produce generally packs more antioxidants and other potentially healthful and potentially flavorful phytochemicals than conventional produce...

What do phytochemicals have to do with flavor?

Phytochemicals are chemicals created by plants, and especially those that have effects on other creatures.

Plants make many of them to defend themselves against microbes and insects: to make themselves unpalatable, counterattack the invaders and limit the damage they cause.

Most of the aromas of vegetables, herbs and spices come from defensive chemicals. They may smell pleasant to us, but the plants make them to repel their mortal enemies.

Leaf  The Dr. Ann Wigmore Collection

We've put together a collection of Dr. Ann's three most popular books (Be Your Own Doctor, Why Suffer?, and Rebuild Your Health), and eight videos of Dr. Ann's lectures into a nicely-priced collection.

Together they present the essence of the Raw Living Foods Home Study Program for a fraction of the price. Very informative and inspiring, rare footage.

For more information please visit chiDiet.com/collection.htm.

Oh... you can still download a free copy of Dr. Ann's most famous book, Why Suffer?, here: chidiet.com/books/whysuffer.pdf.
