Raw Living Foods Around the
World |
By the time you receive this I'll be in Michigan for my
speaking engagement at Creative Health Institute tomorrow, August
26th.
I received a wonderful letter last weekend:
-------------------------------------
James,
Thank you for the always inspiring letter, but this time
you have outdone yourself. It is fantastic to read all these personal
testimonies of real people and their experience by going raw. Thank you, thank
you, thank you!!! You are changing the world a letter at a time, making this
world a better place.
Love and appreciation from
Hilde Bedsvaag from Norway
-------------------------------------
<blush>. So I thought this might be a good time to
share some more of our collection raw testimonies and stories from Raw Fooders
from Around the World.
Robert Hayes, South
Africa |
Hi Jim.
That was the most wonderful time. That was exactly what I
discovered on hundreds of books, and CDs I worked through [over] the last 4
years. Namely, detox, positive lifestyle and nutrition. I wanted to be sure I
do everything right, that's why I went there. I enjoyed the kitchen so much.
All the people involved are sincere; money is not important to them.
I will promote this Institute to everyone. It's far from
home. It took me 30 hours traveling. Strangely, I had no jet stress or jetlag.
Coming back same thing. I didn't sleep on the planes, and after two days and 2
night awake, coming home, I slept 3 hours, got up and answered my emails, slept
another hour got up and work all-day today, no problem.
I am 64 years, so this is really something. I attribute
it all to the raw diet I have been following 100% the last two and a half
months.
Today I have been asked to give a full day demonstration
and lectures to some friends who have tried the raw diet, with an immediate
improvement in their health. I am now preparing for it. It will be a busy one,
having different sizes of sprouts, greens, and everything on one day, but I
know the story now, looking forward to it.
Receiving the certificate was like getting a reward I
worked so hard for the last four years. I was so overwhelmed with emotion that
I could hardly talk, giving my speech. Reason being, I ask for the truth, I got
it, my searching came to an end at the Creative Health
Institute,
I now have to go and practice it. Live it. Promote it.
Thanks again for your kindness and interest.

Hi Jim,
I am very grateful for you efforts, Kathy has high hopes
for this book and is over the moon at the help you have provided. It's hard to
get the computer off her these days as she is constantly checking the emails to
see if anyone has sent a story through or emailing her request for stories out.
I have finished reading Ann Wigmore's book and the road
she traveled was very hard. The more I learn about her the more I am in awe,
the effect just one person has had on today's society is inspirational.
I'd love to know what started it all for you, how did you
first come across all this and what motivated you to make the change?
Cheers
Mike

-------------------------------------
Hey Jim,
Thank you so much for taking the time to help me find an
answer for this, and referring my query to some pretty amazing people. I really
appreciate all you have done helping to answer our questions. I know that one
day I will make a trip over to America and I can thank you in person.
I am looking forward to a response from Dr. Flora van
Orden. I will look up her details, anyone who worked with Dr. Ann Wigmore is
fine by me. I am reading another of Ann's books at the moment and I really wish
I could have met her, she is so inspiring!
Thanks again for the support you are offering, it is easy
to feel a little like a lone voice in the wilderness here in New Zealand and my
correspondence with you is a great boost to my belief in what I am
doing.
Have a brilliant day!
Cheers, Kathy

What I have noticed is that on raw food is that I, too,
feel true hunger very seldom. I could easily eat only 2 small fruit meals and a
salad a day and be satiated. This goes to show just how little we really need!
Imagine if everyone ate raw food. The quantity they'd eat would be far lower
and this way there'd be more to go around for everyone.

Steven and friends at CHI,
Thank You so much for sending out the video of our class
skit! I was so surprised and delighted to get it in the mail.
I truly had a magical and unforgettable time at CHI. I
really miss my daily walks and the beautiful natural sights I got to experience
every day. Not to mention having delicious meals prepared for me at regular
times!
I've been doing well with the raw foods after having some
setbacks at first. Now I'm just enjoying this new way of eating and
understanding food. Thank you again for the intense experience which definitely
changed my life.
Warm regards,
Nicki D'Amico
Virginia Sanderson,
Minnesota |
I've thought so much about you all and about my three
weeks there and all I learned. It's been hard, back in the real world, but I've
made some important changes, and I'm proud of that. Breakfast is always fruit,
and I make sure that I always have a big salad at lunch and dinner. I'm keeping
up with the walking, too.
There is NO WAY NOT TO SPREAD THE WORD about this
miraculous program. Everybody has remarked on how much healthier I look, and
they are full of questions. The more I tell them, the more they ask. My doctor
asked me, "What's the name of this place? Where is it?"
I'm so glad I visited this amazing and endearing place,
and to have met you! Your vibrant kitchen resides in the corner of my mind,
constantly inspiring me with its sound of whirring and chopping and
laughter.

Hiawatha Cromer,
Georgia |
On May 1, 1993 I began working at Creative Health
Institute, most of the time as a volunteer. I was afforded the opportunity to
regain my health here.
When I arrived I weighed 220 pounds, suffered
from high blood pressure, had a pain in my right leg that caused me to walk
with a limp, and had a craving for sweets.
My original intent was to stay for three months... After
9 months I had lost 60 pounds, my right leg no longer ached and I had
weaned myself off of sweets except for fresh fruits.
Since being at Creative Health Institute I
have witnessed what people usually call miracles. I have learned
that the body is self-healing. We only need to give the body the nourishment it
needs and it will heal itself.
I have also learned about the importance of enzymes. All
cooked food depletes the body of its enzyme reserve. Enzymes are the foundation
of all living cells, and the catalyst for all the metabolic processes that
occur within the body.

Bill and I have just returned home today from what we
have termed our greatest adventure in our 50 years of marriage.
We spent three months at Creative Health Institute in
Union City, Michigan... this was a chance to do something very
different and we knew we could do it... The small class was remarkable
... you become really good friends with those you spend a lot time with... a
rural farm setting with clean air, long country walks, and healthy food.
It was an amazing experience, neither Bill nor I had big
problems to work on, but at 82 and 83 we wanted to stay active
and be able to live in our own home the rest of our lives. If you are fighting
a disease we suggest you run, not walk, to Creative Health Institute.
... We had benefits we would never have guessed... The
first thing we noticed was no more cramping in our legs, we
credit that to changing our milk intake to sesame milk, which is high in
calcium.
I quit taking my high-blood pressure medication,
but had it checked every week just to make sure it didn't get out of
control. It stays well within the range on the living-foods diet.
Bill had not been able to cross his left leg over his
right until well into the program... The last count on his PSA prostate
test was brought down from 7.3 to 3.7...
We both lost some weight... we definitely feel
our overall general health is better - we have more stamina and well-being than
before we went.
If you want to tune up your health, meet very interesting
people, and experience a new way of eating that really works
... then consider going to the Creative Health Institute and learn what really
works.
Sincerely,
Bill and Evah Phillips

Dear Jim Carey,
Greetings.
Your testimony is wonderful and challenging.
My friend Seward Yvonne living in the US with this [email
address] introduced me to this programme. But you know that we are trying over
here in Nigeria, West Africa to come up well with this raw food programme. So
we need to do a lot of teaching and awareness campaign to educate the people.
Could you kindly send us your teaching DVD or VHS to
enable us run a good educative programme over here. Thanks for your
consideration. Below is my postal Address.

Dear Jim Carey,
Thanks very much.
I just opened my email box today and saw the manuals you sent, I appreciate
you.
Yes, my postal address is very correct, any thing you
send through it will definitely reach me. Oh! I am so glad you care a lot, I
lack words to express my joy in hearing that you are about sending the complete
programme to me. That's so nice of you, I can't wait to receive them. I am very
grateful.
Thanking you.

Raw Living Foods® Continuing Education |
To fully attain the benefits of the Raw Living Foods
Lifestyle means more than eating raw fruits and veggies. You need to be
aware of your protein and sugar intakes, and your combination of foods, for
example. The lifestyle also includes internal and colon cleansing, the proper
type and amount of exercise, supplements like wheatgrass juice, the benefits of
fresh sprouts and easy ways to grow your own, energy soup and green smoothies,
dehydrated foods, and how to deal with your cooked food addictions.
Even when you attend one of Dr. Ann Wigmore's hands-on
educational centers, it's hard to retain all of the information. It's also
challenging to stay Raw in a cooked food world.
For that reason we created the Dr. Ann Wigmore Raw
Living Foods Lifestyle Home Study Program.

Compiled from over 30 years of teaching the
Wigmore Lifestyle at Creative
Health Institute in Michigan, the 15 Lessons of the Home Study Program are
available as a set, or you can get one lesson at a time on the subscription
plan (the first Lesson is free). Please visit chiDiet.com for more information (we're having
a Back-to-School Sale this month!).

Hi there Jim
Our order actually arrived by courier last Friday and the
letter arrived with the post on the same day... we thought that was remarkable.
So all in all I believe it only took about 10 days to get here. Thank you so
much for the excellent customer service!
We are already into the lessons and DVD's and enjoying it
all. I don't remember if I mentioned it or not but both my husband and I are
doing the course together and are eating the same as well. Would it be possible
for him to get a certificate as well please? His name is Ross J Sims.
We are hoping to make it over for the energy exchange
program in July and have already contacted Barry Duncan about it and will be
sending in our application forms as soon as we sort out a few details. It would
be great to spend some time at the centre and the only thing worrying us is
that we will love it so much that 3 months won't seem long enough and we will
want to stay on longer!
Many thanks for all your help

Hi Jim,
I enjoyed the teleclass tonight - it was fun, thanks for
doing that!
I am really enjoying the course - It means so much to me
that you put all this information together, so I can buy it and have it show up
on my doorstep. Thank you so much! I have been wanting to go to a raw food
retreat for some time and just couldn't afford taking the time out - (and
what to do with my doggie?!) (my dog likes the kale and papaya green smoothie I
make!).
I had been reading books, researching the Internet,
trying things on my own, etc. But all this great information in your program,
my gosh, I could never have done it on my own.
I also started a web site and blog just for fun and I
added links to your site and blog (if that's okay). It's
www.rawcitylife.com.
I'm making up recipes and taking photos of everything I
make. Its new, so there's not much on it, but when my friends ask about the Raw
Food lifestyle I just send them to my links page!
Thanks for all of your hard work, my life is changed
forever.

Dear Jim Carey,
I just wanted to dash off a quick note to let you know how wonderful I think
your efforts are. I spent a month at the Boston Hippocrates Health Institute
back in 1977.
I think the tone and spirit of what you are about are much truer to who Dr. Ann
was than the efforts of others who happened to come into possession of other
fruits of her work.
Keep up the excellent work. I look forward to each newsletter.

Hi,
Well, I wouldn't have wanted to miss a class! I have
scanned the entire course, especially the food planning and recipe sections.
That is where I need the most help.
I hope to get to the videos next week and then go back
over the entire course more slowly. It is excellent!
I will fax or email my comments per Lesson 15 after my
second time through the course.
Thank you so much!

Jim,
Re: 7 Most Common Mistakes of Raw Foodists DVD. Thank you for getting this
information out! I'm watching Victoria for the 3rd time.... so much fabulous
cutting-edge information. And, you're right on, the greens are in the limelight
just like Ann Wigmore professed!! It just makes sense!! Chlorophyll... of
course!!
Thank you for putting up the 7 Most Common Mistakes of Raw Foodists on your
newsletter!! That sold me and the information is invaluable. Now, I don't have
to make the same mistakes over and over again, get cravings or continually want
'more.'
Thanks, Jim... and by the way, I saw you too... You did a really good
introducing the director. And, I enjoyed hearing a brief version of your story.
Oh, and the cut outs made me curious. I suspect Victoria was 'bashing' some
product and didn't want it on the tape... that was rather humorous. I'll ask
her when I see her at RAWSTOCK in August. :-) "

Steven Gibb, Arizona |
- by Steven Gibb, former Director of Creative Health
Institute
Hello friends...
When we see, hear or learn something in life we have to
make a decision what to do. One decision is to ignore what we have learned.
Another is to take heed to this information and truly discover what and how it
may play a part in our life. On another note we are right where we are supposed
to be in life but that doesn't mean our friends can't plant seeds. So, here I
am planting the seed that you may take heed to consider what you place in your
mouth.
I was once well and became violently ill due to the
things I placed in my mouth. Much of that was cooked food and from fast food
joints like McDonald's! I am now on a life looooong journey to once again
achieve total wellness.
Even though it has been an interesting journey I wouldn't
wish it upon an enemy if I had one.
Your health is the best thing you have going for you...
take it from someone who lost it.
You are a living organic organism and your fuel is
living food." Its not up for discussion... there's nothing to
discuss... get the facts! End of story...
Warmly,
Steven

Dry Skin Brushing
In the last newsletter I mentioned how the skin helps to
eliminate toxins from the body. The skin is actually the largest elimination
organ of the body. On average it weighs about 9 pounds.
Considering the skin's importance we can give it a little
help to make its life easier and its appearance radiant and healthy with hardly
any financial expenditure. It takes only a simple natural brush and a mere few
minutes a day to brush your skin towards the exuberant glow. By removing the
dead skin cells, you will facilitate the opening of the pores for an easy exit
of the toxins such as uric acid crystals.
Be gentle with yourself in the beginning, you have the
rest of your life to practice this detox regimen. Start at the bottom of your
feet, proceed to the legs, arms (lift them) and brush towards your colon in a
circular fashion. Back, abdomen and chest need your loving attention as well.
The women want to brush around their breasts. The procedure takes about 2 -5
minutes and will highly increase the efficiency of your lymphatic system.
If you ever had a lymphatic drainage massage you know how
good you felt afterwards. If not, you might just want to make an appointment
with your massage therapist and experience the lightness after such an
treatment.
Every skin brushing needs to be followed up with a shower
to clean away the debris. Natural soaps are the best. Please avoid those fancy
shower gels, shampoos and whatnot. Have you read the labels lately? Chemical
concoctions at their best. My motto is: If I can't pronounce it I don't want it
on my skin or to ingest it.
The skin is a two-way road. What you put on your skin
gets into your body. Likewise, what is in your body comes out via the skin. I
am really careful with skin care products. Often, the best skin care products
are right in your raw kitchen such as an avocado, coconut oil or the moist skin
of a peeled cucumber.
Avocado helps to ease dry skin on your heels, organic
coconut oil gives your whole body a luxurious, tropical richness, and the
peeled cucumber skin feels cooling on your face, especially for us in the south
experiencing the 100 degree heat.
