How about B vitamins, especially B-12? Carbohydrates? Fat is important to a diet, but where does a vegan get it? What about Omega 3s? And more... Here's the dirty little secret of the Raw Foods movement - Some people go raw and end up with health challenges that are worse that what they started with. I've seen it, and have received numerous letters to that effect. I even spoke with a woman who ended up an insulin-dependent diabetic after she went to a "raw" diet. Now, in every one of those cases, the people didn't take the time to learn what a balanced raw food diet should be. They were missing key dietary components. Indeed, studies have shown that the typical vegan is eating only seven different foods after one year. That's not enough dietary variety to stay healthy! This is where Dr. Ann Wigmore comes in. Dr. Ann Wigmore has been called "The Queen of Green," and "The Original Raw Diva," among other compliments, degrees and awards. Dr. Ann developed her "Raw Living Foods Lifestyle" back in the 1950's after being told by her doctors that nothing could be done for her colon cancer. Through research and experimentation she healed her cancer, then went on to teach thousands of others around the world how the body would heal itself when given the proper nourishment. This collection of 10 DVDs show you all of the basics of Dr. Ann's Raw Living Foods Lifestyle. Seven of them are rare old footage of Dr. Ann that I recovered from old videotapes. The other three movies fill in the gaps that Dr. Ann's videos didn't cover, and are taught by veteran instructors from Creative Health Institute, which has been teaching Dr. Ann's program since 1976. |
