I am so sad to know that Doctors do not want their cancer patients to even think about Raw Food nor drink wheatgrass.

I started eating organic two years ago. Little by little. Then I took interest in raw food and I am currently in the learning process. I did learn about wheatgrass and started growing and drinking it at home with my husband and am making my adult kids aware of it as well.

I wanted to share this great information with a co-worker who was diagnosed with colon cancer around 4 years ago and I’ve noticed that his health is not very good. I have not asked him about his health. My Mom died of colon cancer in 1994. I wish I had had this information for her back then and I wanted to share information in reference to raw food and wheatgrass with him. I gave him Dr. Ann Wigmore’s Wheatgrass book. A few days later he had placed it on my desk with a note that his doctor does not think it was good for him. I could not believe this. I have not tried talking to him after that since I sensed he was not interested. I will pray for him.

So will we. Education happens one person at a time, but as more and more of us share this great insight, the world will learn faster and faster. By one estimate, the sales of fruit and veggies has been up in the Us four-fold annually for the last three years. So people ARE listening. In the six short years I’ve been a rawbie I’ve seen the movement explode. So… there’s hope, and light at the end of the tunnel.

I am so upset about Betsy’s story and that man who would not even consider an alternative option. Gosh, don’t be such an unconscious robot, mister! This doctor is just another person with an opinion and that means there are other opinions to gather as well. How could fruits, vegetables and wheat grass be bad for you? I wonder how this doctor’s prescriptions are affecting this man’s health? Our Western medical community just disgusts me and I get very frustrated hearing stories like this because I just want people to be open minded. How does one not let it get to you? I’ll put an intention out there that this man will “get it” before it’s too late.

The cysts in my right breast have enlarged from thermography imaging the conclusion has been breast cancer. Since March 2009 I’ve changed my diet to juicing 3 glasses of wheatgrass + celery/beetroot, carrotts + apples, (about 8/9 glasses/day) no meat, chicken or dairy derivatives, no salt, no sugar, no processed foods at all – fresh vege soup. Would love to hear what more I should be doing. Have lost 10 kg since but don’t want to lose anymore – any suggestions!

  7. Maria Iaboni Says:

    Hi Brenda,

So wonderful to hear your success story. It gives hope and new concepts to understand. I’ve been raw for five years and feel great… I had a scare with ecoli last summer, not knowing how I contracted it. But after ten months off raw, I felt terrible and now I’m back total raw feeling wonderful and having many raw probiotics to help me to feel secure on my journey. Thank you and the best to you. Your a wonderful example that the raw diet is the only diet for a successful life, mind, body and soul.

    Sincerely,
    Maria I.
