The #1 question I hear is, “There’s so much advice out there, who should I believe.”
Me, of course. Only kidding. Actually, I believe in what Dr. Ann Wigmore believed – learn to “Listen to Your Body,” and “Be Your Own Doctor.”
Yes, there’s a period of transition in which we have to learn to listen to what our body needs, not what we’ve trained it to want. That’s where a regime like a hands-on two-week program at an Ann Wigmore Institute comes in, or a similar program.
There is one book that I’ve found extremely helpful over the past year. It gives an overview of most of the programs and gurus out there, and has a lot of solid, level-headed advice.
This book is The Live Food Factor, by Susan Schenck.
We have in-depth coverage of the first eight chapters of the book on RawDoctors.com at http://rawdoctors.com/index.php/live-food-factor.html.
You need to be a registered user to listen to the interviews with Susan, but registration is free and only takes a minute.
Working with you to grow your health,
P.S. It’s not “cheating” if you’re not 100% raw – it’s simply eating outside the program. This is a lifestyle choice, not a religion. Just remember how much better you’re doing now than when you were eating the SAD!
