Hi Jim,
I have been a vegan for approx. 3 1/2 years and a raw vegan for approx. 1 1/2 years. I have read several articles about fat/carb/protein ratios what do you all teach about percent/amounts of fat, carbs and protein in the diet and how do I decide who are what do believe.

Yes, that’s always the
challenge, isn’t it? We’ve been teaching the raw living foods lifestyle at
Creative Health Institute since 1976. We were co-founded by Dr. Ann Wigmore, and
teach what she taught since the 1950’s. We’ve had over 10,000 graduates of our Institute.
The testimonials of our
students say a lot: http://rawlivingfoods.typepad.com/1/testimonials/index.html,
as does the feedback we get: http://rawlivingfoods.typepad.com/1/feedback_and_comments/index.html.
To me, the fact that we
don’t sell any supplements or any of that other stuff says a lot, too. On our
main website, www.chiDiet.com, you’ll see that we sell only
books and videos, primarily what’s been created in-house or by our graduates.
You’ll notice that we don’t sell anything, other than training. No
supplements, no hardware, no “superfoods.” If we do
recommend a product, you can trust our motives when we’re not trying to sell it
to you.
I think the fact that
almost everyone associated with Creative Health and chiDiet.com is a volunteer
is significant, too. There’s nobody here making over 20k a year; I’ve been doing
this for free for over 4 years. Because we believe in the program, know how it’s
helped us, and have seen what it’s done for others.
Re: your question about fat/carb/protein. We don’t approach nutrition that way. Rather, we see it as a ratio of
greens to grains, fruit and veggies. We learn to listen to what our bodies need.
Re: Who to believe? — In the end, we take
everything we’ve learned from everyone, stir it in the pot and make our own
conclusions, don’t we?
