Life and maturing sure are interesting, aren’t they? So many times we take our friends for granted, then when we think to check on them we’re amazed at how much they’ve changed.
This is especially true of young people. In passing through South Carolina recently I stopped in to see some old friends.
When I asked about their young daughter (whom I remember as being 10 years old), I heard all about her wedding, her husband and their new baby. “Little Amy” is now 22.
Because we keep in touch by email and phone, and because Amy was at summer camp when they visited me in Georgia and Hawaii, I’d missed Amy growing up and never realized it.
I see the same thing happening in the Raw Foods Movement.
It was just over a year ago that Tara Warner started her website The Raw Divas. At the time I did a podcast with her as part of a kickoff. We’ve stayed in touch, mostly by being on each others’ mailing lists.
Then today I was moved to visit her website for the first time in ages. I don’t know why, I just was.
My, has Tara grown up! Not only does her website have a beautiful design, but she has so MANY programs geared to going and living raw.
I think it’s especially neat that her advice is geared to women. Wonderful niche marketing.
My favorite item on Tara’s website – and has been for a long time – is her 7 Day Detox Program. Look under “Fr*e Stuff.”
