Fewer Than Six Hours
A new University of Buffalo study indicates that the less you sleep, the greater your chances of getting diabetes. To put it another way, less than six hours of good sleep a night increases your risk of having higher blood sugar levels. That, in turn, increase the risk of type 2 diabetes.
As presented to a national conference, the scientists suggested that little sleep makes for big health problems. I suggest it is just the other way around. Little or poor sleep is a sign of problems already bubbling under the surface.
At the very least your blood is turning acidic – which effects everything in your body. Your hormones are probably off (hence the poor sleep.) Your nerves are probably out of whack. Your electrolytes are not where they should be. Your body handles dis-ease very well. We are like a frog put in a pot of cool water. Slowly raise the heat and the frog will never know it is being cooked – until it’s too late. The same saga holds true for human beings and illness.
Reduce stress, max out your nutrition with raw foods, and get some exercise and sun every day. You can be your own doctor!
