    some time ago, I read or heard that eating fruit is best in the morning and vegetables are best in the “p.m.” part of the day. Even though I take Richard Schulze’s “Superfood” in the morning and afternoon, the only negative reaction I’ve had with combining fruit and vegetables was from some “FruitGarden” juice by Lakewood brand that combined 18 fruits and 18 vegetables or something like that, and it literally made me sick to my stomach. The brand is good, but I don’t buy that specific series anymore. I don’t understand the fruit and vegetable concept, (except that fruit usually has more sugar, and you need sugar and calories for energy to go about your day), but the fruit/veg combination stuff would be good to find out why. I keep telling my brother at family meals that melon is better eaten before other foods since (I learned this from the wonderful book “Whole Foods Companion”) melon has such a high water content that eating regular foods before melon causes gas and whatever, since melon requires little if any digestion. It’s not like you’re gonna die from it, but then again, it’s also refreshing after a meal.
